As someone who thinks outside the box, you'll enjoy designing and implementing solutions to interesting engineering problems. Using DevSecOps methodologies, you'll identify constraints and employ creative solutions to break bottlenecks, improve processes, and create efficiencies.

Rather than performing repetitive manual tasks you'll find ways to make automation do the heavy lifting. You will design and code software using industry standard tools, testing frameworks, CI infrastructure, automated deployments, and design scalable maintenance practices. Your experience with the Linux as a real time operating system, bash shell, and scripting in languages such as Python will be indispensable assets.

More About the Role

CACI builds and deploys applications which have direct impact on US Intelligence Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) ability to capture information that is imperative to national security missions. We are looking Java developers passionate about this work and excited to contribute to the design and implementation of complex distributed scalable web-based applications. This position is in Sterling Virginia.

Duties and Responsibilities:

- Contribute to the design and implementation of distributed server-based infrastructure as well as modern web-based applications.

- Collaborate with hardware or software designers/engineers and analysts to develop, analyze, and evaluate hardware, software, and systems.

- Evaluate emerging technologies to determine advantages and disadvantages of potential solutions in virtual, web-based, and desktop applications.

- Provide guidance and assistance to entry level and/or support team members.

- Work with the development and testing team to devise quality and performance related metrics and continuous testing systems.

- Contribute to the ongoing improvement of DevOps related practices and culture.

You'll Bring These Qualifications
  • US Citizenship is required along with active SECRET security clearance
  • Bachelors or equivalent in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering
  • 1+ years of related experience, including Java development experience
  • Solid understanding of complex software design concepts

These Qualifications Would Be Nice to Have
  • Experience with AWS (including any AWS Certifications)
  • Background in web technologies is highly desired.
  • Experience with database programming and cloud technologies.
  • Experience with Python and scripting.
  • Working knowledge of signal processing fundamental
  • Working knowledge of MATLAB is helpful
  • Willingness to learn and apply the best technology for a given application.
