Job Description
THE IMPACT YOU WILL MAKEAs a valued leader on our team, you will manage the work of a team designing, producing, testing, or implementing software, technology, or processes, as well as create and maintain IT architecture, large scale data stores, and cloud-based systems.
The Software Engineering Manager role will offer you the flexibility to make each day your own, while working alongside people who care so that you can deliver on the following responsibilities:
- Build advance data processing/reporting capabilities for 2nd line SF, MF, Ops Risk Management
- Determine the needs of diverse and complex customer groups requiring applied understanding of strategic issues of importance to the function/initiative.
- Plan and direct the work of the team as they design and develop software solutions to meet needs.
- Ensure teams use a process-driven approach in designing solutions.
- Oversee the implementation of new software technology.
- Oversee the effective and efficient maintenance of existing software.
Qualifications
THE EXPERIENCE YOU BRING TO THE TEAMMinimum Required Experiences- 6 Years’ Total Experience
- 4+ years of experience with building complex data processing/reporting systems on AWS Cloud Platform
- 4+ years of working experience and knowledge of Agile Methodology
- Ability to scale and coach multiple teams in parallel on their Cloud migration and adoption journeys
- Ability to manage and develop teams, providing coaching, mentoring and performance management
- Ability to assist with initiatives supporting Digital Transformation
- Experience managing Platform Engineering / Operations teams to ensure production stability
- Strong ability to mentor/coach team members as well as experience in influencing senior leadership
- Experience as a Technical Coach to provide technical guidance in designing and architecting critical software platforms
- Attention to detail and a deep understanding of software engineering processes and best practices
- Relationship Management including managing and engaging stakeholders, customers, and vendors, building relationship networks, contracting, etc.
- Influencing including negotiating, persuading others, facilitating meetings, and resolving conflict
- Excellent collaboration & communication skills
- Bachelor degree or equivalent
- Knowledge of finance/fixed income products and market/credit risk management is preferred
- Technical Skills: Python, PiSpark, Big data, RDS, RedShift, BI Platforms(MicroStrategy, Tableau)
- Communication including communicating in writing or verbally, copywriting, planning and distributing communication, etc.
- Expertise in service management concepts for networks and related standards such as ITIL practices or SDLC
- Operational Excellence including improving and overseeing operations
- Relationship Management including managing and engaging stakeholders, customers, and vendors, building relationship networks, contracting, etc.
- AWS - S3, Lambda, Step Functions, EMR, RedShift, Glue
- Big Data - Spark, PiSpark, Talend
- BI - MicroStrategy, Tableau
