We’re searching for an experienced and knowledgeable person who loves new and challenging opportunities with every new project bid.We’re hoping that you are familiar with the solar or construction industries and willing to learn more. You’ll be supporting an important aspect of development for GRNE and helping our operations team prepare for exciting new opportunities!JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Assist the Commercial Estimator in transferring information from bid software (PV Bid) to bid form (Excel). Assist the C&I sales team with indicative bids. Coordinate with Commercial Estimator on final bid submission. Schedule and take minutes of scope review meetings. Schedule a turnover meeting with Project Team once the project is awarded. Assist with the review of construction documents for bid scope. Assist with maintaining the company estimate log and tracking the status of bids (pricing queue) Reviews invitations to bid for applicable scopes of work. Assist or prepare the necessary bid or proposal documents for timely distribution and submission. May perform routine quantity take-offs and calculations. Other duties as assigned.EDUCATION : Associate degree from a two-year college or technical school or equivalent combination of education and industry experience.EXPERIENCE : 1-2 years of solar, trade, or construction experience (preferred) 1-2 years of data entry experience (required)COMPETENCIES – SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/ABILITIES: Some electrical knowledge (preferred) Strong Excel knowledge (required) Software skills such as Smart Sheet (a plus), PV Bid (a plus), and Blue Beam (a plus) Knowledge of statistics and analytics A high attention to detail, accuracy, timing, and multitasking. Ability to produce and proo well-written error-free documents Ability to smoothly handle a variety of situations and problems that may arise, sometimes several at a time, and either solve them or work with others involved to come to a cooperative resolution Strong work ethic Proven ability to work effectively both independently and in a team-based environment Strong written and oral communication skills to effectively disseminate information Ability to work on multiple projects while meeting required deadlines Well organized and able to multi-taskPay range for this role is $24.00-$29.00 an hour, depending on experience.Our benefits package includes medical, dental, vision, HSA and FSA, generous earned time off, 401K/student loan repayment, life insurance & AD&D insurance, employee assistance program, employee stock purchase program, tuition reimbursement, performance-based incentive pay, short- and long-term disability, and a robust wellness program.
