The Modern Work Solution Engineer (SE) will have 10 years of work experience with 5 years in presales. The SE is responsible for pre-sales engineering focused on standardizing and securing the end user experience regardless of physical location primarily through the adoption of Software as a Service collaboration technologies. SE activities including: 1) identifying customer’s business problems, desired outcomes and/or mission challenges and proposing solutions to those with technology, 2) engaging as the primary client resource on complex sales engagements and 3) achieving and maintaining OEM certifications in their area of expertise. Although Modern Work SE’s primarily focus on Microsoft solutions and programs, they are expected to have a broad understanding of alternative solutions and the company’s capabilities across multiple technologies and architectures including how to align them to customer requirements. SE’s function is both technical and business focused. As necessary, the SE engages with one or more Design Architects across multiple client engagements to support their solutioning activities spanning the required technology or architecture expertise. SE’s work jointly with the sales team leading the activities and conversations to determine how technology can optimize clients’ current, as well as create a roadmap to support customers evolving business requirements. The SE provides technical sales input to internal company initiatives including idea submission for new and improved services and offers based on Company capabilities. During offer development the SE provides technical input and participates in activities associated with the definition, ideation, and invention of offers. Additionally, the SE participates in the recruiting and technical interview process.Primary Position Tasks:
Makes decisions and recommendations that are conclusive and have a far-reaching impact.
Provide sales technical support to develop Microsoft 365 and Azure related solutions
Serve as the technical point of contact and technical sales lead for the customer. Validates that proposal, SOW, BOM, LOE, etc. align with customer stated outcomes.
Keeps up to date on relevant vendors, solutions, products, and competition.
Strong understanding of Microsoft licensing and requirements for Microsoft SaaS, PaaS, IaaS solutions as well as on-premises environments
Develop and deliver presentations and demos to client leadership teams
Provide technical support for proposals writing, RFI and RFP responses
Other business duties as assigned
Minimum Education/Certification/Experience Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree or 6 years of overall experience
2 years of presales engineer experience
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Must be a U.S. citizen and qualify to obtain a Secret Clearance
Active and verified associate level Microsoft certification
Preferred Education/Certification/Experience:
Active and verified Microsoft 365 Enterprise Administrator Expert certification
Good understanding of Modern Work adjacent technologies such as networking, end user compute, and cloud
Modern security experience(Zero Trust, SASE, CASB, Information Protection, etc.)
Knowledge, Skills , and Abilities:
Demonstrates a high degree of creativity, foresight and mature judgment in planning, organizing and guiding extensive programs and activities of major consequence.
Develop additional technical and professional skills through career-track curriculum and self-learning experiences.
Understands business problems for customer base and is able to translate them into technical requirements.
Understands and articulates respective Architecture discipline and provides technical services in the form of design, assessment and analysis.
Highly collaborative and able to drive to consensus, multiple competing ideas and solutions based on customer objectives.
