ISO qualified special needs caregiver for my child. In our home. Must have prior experience with children with autism age ranging from 4yr-12yr.

We are looking for someone who can handle a physically and verbally aggressive child. He needs help with supervision and ADLs.

Duties include but are not limited to:

Feeding, dressing, grooming, bathing, toileting, supervision, laundry, cleaning, meal prep and more.

Behaviors that are a direct manifestation of his diagnosis include but are not limited to hitting, throwing objects, spitting (sometimes in the face of a person), screaming, eloping (running away without concern for own safety or safety of others), dropping to a hard surface on his knees, using some profanity, among other things. He is physically strong; therefore you need to be in good physical health, able to run as well as restrain without causing injury. These behaviors are shocking however, he needs to be addressed with patience, love, and care.

The ideal candidate must be able to calmly cope with being hit multiple times a day and being spit on, especially the face. You must not react in anger. If you react in shock or surprise, he will laugh and do it more. You must not use profanity. I can teach you how to prevent triggers and try to manage behaviors the best I can.

Pay : $13.88/hr

Schedule : M-F 9am-6pm and Sat-Sun 6am-12pm

Hours are currently being reduced by DMAS so this schedule is subject to change and decrease.

Benefits : PTO, sick leave - accrued

Must pass a criminal background check; 1st paycheck may be delayed 2 weeks due to processing

Must have license, good driving record proof from DMV

Must be eligible to work in the US

Must have reliable and safe transportation

Must be 18 years or older

Must be drug free and able to pass a drug test

Must provide at least 2 previous employment references. Please provide contact information for previous families you have cared for that have children with moderate to severe autism

Must have a mobile phone for constant communication with parent and to clock in and out on required App. There must be absolutely no errors when clocking in and out as you are paid by the State/DMAS and they will cut all hours if there are any mistakes at all
