Job Summary: The Department of Economics in the Davis College of Business and Economics at Radford University invites applications for a full-time Special Purpose faculty appointment in Economics beginning August 2025. This appointment is subject to receiving final approval from the Provost’s Office, and may be renewed subject to budgetary approval. The position involves teaching four classes each semester in the areas of principles of microeconomics, principles of macroeconomics, global economy and business, and/or elective courses in the candidate’s area of specialty. This Special Purpose position is expected to be involved in the Davis College’s First-Year Experience programming for incoming Freshmen. Therefore, candidates with an interest and ability to engage with first year students, connecting them to university life and career/major exploration, and that embrace our commitment to applied learning and experiential education are preferred. Commitment to superior undergraduate teaching, both face-to-face and online, is essential. The position will also include service and advising. The Davis College of Business and Economics has a student body of approximately 900 undergraduates and approximately 100 graduate students ( MBA ).
