Our consultants design unique solutions drawing on an unparalleled breadth of data and insight spanning Economic Indicators and Forecasts Global Risk & Development and Maritime & Trade.Responsibilities and Impact:We are seeking an Economist / Data Analyst with 2-4 years of experience to join our consultancy team. In this role, you will develop, enhance, and expand our analyses and forecasts with specific emphasis on translating insights into relevant, actionable client solutions.This position requires the ability to work on a team and contribute significantly to the analyses undertaken. The open analyst position is within a consulting team that focuses on evaluating and measuring trends in key market segments, analyzing forces of change, understand consumer and business behavior and choice, and identifying risk and success factors to enable clients to maximize return on sales and marketing investments. Analysts help to collect and merge data from different sources, develop models from time series and survey data, produce credible and accurate forecasts for specific product lines or business units, provide global and regional analysis, and develop market segmentation estimates. Analysts also help develop insightful reports and dashboards using data visualization techniques.Compensation/Benefits Information: (This section is only applicable to US candidates)S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $53,898.00 to $96,049.50. Final base salary for this role will be based on the individual’s geographic location, as well as experience level, skill set, training, licenses, and certifications.In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentive bonus.This role is eligible to receive additional S&P Global benefits. Attention to detail, strong problem-solving and statistical skills, thorough understanding of economic principles, and ability to apply these principles to analyzing and solving problems.

Excellent oral communication, writing skills, and ability to prepare 'client-ready' presentations.

Familiarity with MS Office applications plus a strong interest in applied economic research and analytics are essential

Highly motivated, energetic and outgoing with a natural desire to accept challenging and diverse assignments

2-4 years of relevant work experience

Minimum requirement of BA/BS in Economics

​ Additional Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with statistical packages such as R or EVIEWS is highly desirable.

Computer programming experience or background is a plus.

Knowledge of relational databases and database management is plus

Knowledge of Power BI or Tableau is desirable

Experience with econometrics, statistics or data science a plus
