Overview
Credence Management Solutions, llc. (Credence) is seeking a Sr. Application Developer who will lead implementation of the MuleSoft API Gateway in support of the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA). This position is based out of our office in Vienna, VA, at DLA in Washington D.C. area or remotely. DLA has an operational mission of receiving, editing, validating, routing, and delivering logistics transactions for the DOD Components and Participating Agencies; providing value-added services for the numerous logistics transactions, such as network and data interoperability, activity, component, DOD-level logistics information services; and report generation. The Defense Automated Addressing System (DAAS) serves as the DOD translator that allows the DOD Component supply systems to speak the same language by receiving data, often non-standard, editing and validating the transactions; and forwarding the transactions, in the correct format, to the proper destination. The scope of this effort involves planning, requirements analysis, installation, configuration, integration, testing, deployment and sustainment of an API Gateway solution. Responsibilities- The Technical Lead will supervise a team of 6 technical staff: API developers and DevOps Engineers.
- Develop software based on requirements developed by Business Analysts to meet the needed business solution at enterprise, large-scale level. All work is within the application development framework used by the organization.
- Work closely with customer to assess various requirements to developing APIs.
- Supervise API Developers and DevOps Engineers and assign work by following the Agile development methodology.
- Work directly with Systems Architect to develop and implement new third-party applications, tools, and programming libraries to meet the business development goals of DLA.
- Utilizes web-based software such as Java, HTML, .NET, AngularJS, Javascript, SOAP, REST API, mobile development, and Web Based API in the building of software applications.
- Current Secret government clearance, or ability to obtain clearance.
- Minimum Education: BS in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business or related discipline.
- 5 years applicable work experience.
- 2 years experience as a Technical Lead supervising development staff.
- Relevant experience in Mulesoft or similar API platform (e.g., JBoss, Tibco, etc.).
- It is helpful if candidate holds API Platform certification.
- DoD Approved 8570 Baseline Certification: Category IAT Level I (may be achieved within 60 days of hire).
