Stefanini is looking for Sr. MQ System Administrator in Richmond, VA/Remote Responsibilities:Under general supervision, independently provides ongoing support of MQ Middleware and the technical escalation point for MQ problems for the team.Assists and guide others in the installation, upgrade, testing and maintenance of multiple server and network operating system environments.Performs and guide others in installation and deployment of security patches across the server environment while adhering to change control policies.Provides input to technical standards and procedures.Conducts and mentor others in problem resolution. Performs challenging research and testing to determine cause and makes necessary corrections.
Qualifications:The IT operations has an immediate opening for a senior MQ System Administrator Position, reporting to technical manager.This role will provide critical MQ messaging operations support to highly critical Federal Reserve applications and conduct peer training and mentoring on IBM MQ technologies.Bachelor's Degree in computer science or related area of study preferredHave peer training and mentoring experience7 to 10 years full time MQ messaging system administration experience with recent years at a senior or lead levelKnowledge: advanced knowledge pertaining to concepts and principles in functional area. In depth knowledge of IT operations, policies, procedures, and technologies.Communications: Strong interpersonal, negotiation, creativity, attention to detail, and oral and written communications skills tailored for the intended audience.Able to effectively explain a complex technical problem or a difficult concepts to entry level or intermediate level technical staffAble to assist the manager to draft peer technical training plans.Attention to technical details and operations processes with very careful execution of operations tasks
