The Sr. Network Engineer will have expert knowledge in design, implementation, support and troubleshooting network systems including circuits, switches, routers, and infrastructure connectivity. The Sr. Network Engineer will support and mentor Junior engineers providing frontline consulting services for Red River clients. The Sr. Network Engineer will support the Red River Service Operations team in validating and approving Statements of Work (SOWs) and Level of Efforts (LOEs). This is not a managed services position. However, the Sr. Network Engineer will work closely with existing technical staff to support Red River’s Managed Services. The right candidate is comfortable running projects independently as well as working with the larger engineering team and project managers.Specific Job Responsibilities

Design, Support, troubleshoot, install, and configure routers, and switches

Deploy & troubleshoot security protocols across the network platform

Develop and refine network and security configuration documentation for customers

Maintain industry certifications as required

Provide end user training on solutions

Review and approve new opportunity statement of works (SOW’s) and level of efforts (LOE’s)

Work closely and align with pre-sales engineering objectives when coping larger projects

Assist pre-sales with customer engagements when applicable

Assist in developing, improving, and automating our delivery methodologies

Other business duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

Cisco Certified Network Professional Routing and Switching or equivalent experience with progression to CCIE Routing and Switching

Minimum 5 years of experience in the networking and infrastructure security field

Military experience and/or training is accepted

Hands on experience working with network routing and switching protocols

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience in preferred qualifications

Cisco DevNet Associate

Experience with Python programming

Experience with Ansible scripting

Experience with API scripting

U.S. Citizen and ability to obtain a Top Secret Security Clearance

Essential Requirements

Ability to sit at a desk for 8 hours

Lift more than 50 lbs.

Special Requirements

Although this is a fully remote position, the preferred regions are the Northeast and Mid Atlantic. 20-30% travel will be required based on project requirements.
