Job Title: Sr. PROJECT MANAGER Job Location: Hampton, VA Job Description: Plan and manage a large program consisting of multiple complex projects. Drive delivery of projects on time and in budget. Direct and manage project development from beginning to end. Define project scope, goals and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders. Develop full-scale project plans and associated communications documents. Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion. Liaise with project stakeholders on an ongoing basis and provide weekly summary reports Estimate the resources and participants needed to achieve project goals. Draft and submit budget proposals and recommend subsequent budget changes where necessary. Set and continually manage project expectations with team members and other stakeholders. Delegate tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel. Identify and resolve issues and conflicts within the project team. Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path. Plan and schedule project timelines and milestones using Microsoft Project. Track project milestones and deliverables. Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations, including but not limited to identifying status, risks, obstacles, work accomplishments, hours used of actual vs budget, corrective actions and next critical steps. Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises and devise contingency plans. Define project success criteria and disseminate them to involved parties throughout project life cycle. Build, develop and grow any business relationships vital to the success of the project. Conduct project post mortems and create a recommendations report in order to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements. Manage records created and received in compliance with the Management Policy and Procedures. Responsible for maintaining a general awareness of HRT's EMS. Responsible for handling all related job responsibilities in accordance to HRT's Environmental Policy, relevant EMS Standard Operating Procedures, and Emergency Management Plan Skills: 8 years direct work experience in a project management capacity, including all aspects of process development and execution. Solid working knowledge of current data center technologies, including the implementation and deployment of enterprise software applications Experience at working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment with outsourced software developer teams. Can conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities. Reacts to project adjustments and alterations promptly and efficiently. Flexible during times of change. Ability to read communication styles of team members and contractors who come from a broad spectrum of disciplines. Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment is crucial. Strong interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to elicit cooperation from a wide variety of sources, including upper management, clients and other departments. Ability to monitor, mitigate, remediate and escalate, if needed, disagreement among the project team Software Knowledge and Skills: Proficiency in using computer systems and the listed software applications associated with performance of assigned work is essential. Basic problem-solving skills associated with software applications used is expected. Software usage relevant to job duties will be evaluated. Software applications: Strong familiarity with project management software and proficient in the Microsoft suite (i.e. MS Project, Visio, Excel, Word) Safety Responsibility: Perform all job duties and responsibilities in a safe manner to protect one's self, fellow employees, and the public from injury or harm. Promote safety awareness and follow safety procedures and policies. Take an active part in reporting unsafe conditions and any hazards within the workplace to their Supervisor, Manager and/or the Safety Department. Qualifications: Training and/or Education: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Finance or a related field from an accredited college or university.
