he Contract Software Support Engineer, Sr is responsible for working with customers via Service Cloud, Emails, Teams, and Virtual meetings. Their primary responsibility will be to triage incoming tickets and to determine a path toward expedient resolution. This includes reproducing customer issues, debugging code locally, and working closely with Product, Engineering and Microsoft. The Software Support Engineer that requires an engineering first mindset because they will be utilizing a platform based on the Azure ecosystem.

  • Working knowledge of C#
  • 3+ years of demonstrated knowledge of C# and an understanding of how to debug code locally.
  • 3-5 years of experience of the azure toolset which involves the Azure portal, pipelines, application insights, event hubs, function apps, ete (Azure certifications are preferred.
  • 3+ years of working with restful APIS and a demonstrated understanding of how to debug and trace an API call.
  • Thorough understanding of how data is transmitted securely across a network (Certificates, TLS, JWT)
  • 3+ years working in a Windows environment with source control (GIT)

Role Responsibilities
  • Creating knowledge articles from support case documentation and interactions with customers and internal colleagues.
  • Stay on top tech trends, experiment with and lead new technologies
  • Participate in internal and external technology communities, and mentor other members of the software community
  • Be an active member/contributor/facilitator on the VW.AC Developer Portal and seek opportunities to connect customers and to help solve their business challenges and drive positive outcomes.
  • Work Flexibility
  • Ability to work East Coast US hours
  • Preferred to live on ET or CT as the role will require early hours and the ability to readily support customers in EMEA
  • Infrequent travel may be required
  • Work day would begin 8am ET with earlier days upon necessity

Education (required)
  • BA or BS in Computer Science or Computer Engineering or a similar field
  • One the job experience/education

Education (desired)
  • Certifications in AWS (nice to have), Azure (preferred) or similar cloud technology
