Job Summary:The Test Engineer is responsible for the architecture, design and bring-up of custom systems used to characterize and test optical sensors, wafer level MEMS sensors, and 3D heterogeneous devices. We are looking for a highly motivated individual interested in collaborating with a cross-functional team.Scope: The Sr. Test Engineer will offer hands on support new product development programs. This position is intended to be part of growing MEMS and advanced microelectronics packaging test engineering competency within the Advanced Sensors R&D Engineering department. The Sr. Test Engineer will be responsible for collaborating with the product and process development teams in the development or modification of optical and electrical tests, drafting and executing test procedures, as well as for developing or procuring test equipment in support of test and validation activities. The Sr. Test Engineer will support the automation and manufacturing engineering teams in transitioning new software into production.Responsibilities & Tasks:Work across engineering teams to lead and coordinate best practices in testPartner with product design engineers to troubleshoot, perform failure analysis, and to design tests to assess product compliance and robustnessIdentify testing methods and test fixturing for risk mitigation, prototype development and requirement verificationMeet with development Leads to discuss test structure designs, software specifications and quality controlsMeet with Product Engineering Leads to understand design intent and methodologyRun test protocols to ensure that testing evaluates the articles correctlyDevelop and manage validation and verification test plans, from concept to executionDevelop test requirements and their verification methods through close collaboration with the Product, Device, Process, and System Engineering teamsManage and collaborate with external partners to develop new systems or metrology hardwareDevelop manual and automated test procedures to evaluate hardware/software for new products or new production equipmentInterface with the customer when required to negotiate test requirements and methods, jointly developing plans, and communicate / report test results and progressRepresent test engineering at major program milestones and act as expert reviewer at Test Readiness ReviewsFinalize and document test proceduresDraft, complete, approve final tests and test reportsPlan and perform environmental qualification and testing of hardware, including functional testing, vibration testing, thermal cycling, thermal vacuum, and other qualification tests
