Work will be hybrid from either our Reston, VA or Irvine, CA offices. At this time, we are unable to provide relocation or housing assistance for internships.As a member of our team, the Business Analyst intern will:
Assist in authoring clear and concise technical requirement documentation
Communicate and collaborate proactively with teams to analyze functional and technical needs, deliver functional and business requirements, and create user stories
Coordinate with team members to develop more efficient process flows by automating existing tasks
Assist in the daily monitoring of tickets, tasks, budgets, invoices, and agreements with both internal and external stakeholders.
Assist in conducting ad-hoc data analysis using a variety of software tools and prepare reports.
Assist with research, data gathering and compilation, and documentation as needed.
Meet with teams on a weekly, monthly and ad-hoc basis to review budgets, spending, forecasts, and variances.
Participate in workshop sessions
Minimum Qualifications:
Currently pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, Finance or related technical fields (with an anticipated graduation of August 2025 or later)
Preferred Qualifications:
Demonstrated advanced knowledge and experience working with Microsoft Excel including proficiency in basic formulas, functions, and pivot tables. – VBA and Macro a plus.
Demonstrated experience working in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
Must be flexible and able to handle multiple and shifting priorities.
Experience/Exposure in the utility, energy, and/or energy efficiency sectors is a plus
Superior interpersonal skills including courtesy, professionalism, and a cooperative attitude.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Sound business ethics, including the protection of proprietary and confidential information.
Excellent problem solving skills with ability to analyze situations, identify existing or potential problems and recommend solutions.
Experience using automation software a plus.
Self-disciplined, organized, and internally motivated.
