Description SAIC's National Security & Space Group is seeking a Systems Analysis and Assessment Engineer to fill a critical position in the Systems Integration Group (SIG). The position is in Chantilly, VA and requires an active TS/SCI with Polygraph. The SIG directly supports numerous contracts across multiple customers in the Department of Defense (DoD) and the Intelligence Enterprise, focused on the acquisition of systems over the complete end-to-end life cycle. The Systems Analysis and Assessment Engineer will provide systems analysis and assessment support across a broad set of DoD and Intelligence programs and develop models and simulation for analysis of mission effectiveness. You will work side-by-side with program leadership and staff comprised of world class System Engineers, Systems Architects, Integration and Domain Experts providing integration solutions across the portfolio. Responsibilities include:
  • Innovate in methodologies to apply systems assessment disciplines to a wide range of space, ground and end-to-end integration by connecting mission scenarios to system and software execution
  • Generate and assess engineering artifacts and develop systems analysis models for enterprise systems
  • Develop models and simulations to conduct analysis of mission effectiveness across technical performance measures and performance requirements
  • Conduct cross functional reviews to enhance mission alignment and standardization
  • Conduct assessments to standardize operations and engineering reporting metrics
  • Exercise collaboration, promote situational awareness and understanding across the team and programs
  • Conduct executive level presentations and written reports for Customer and Corporate leadership
Qualifications TYPICAL EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelors and nine (9) years or more experience; Masters and seven (7) years or more experience ; PhD or JD and four (4) years or more experience. Required:
  • Active TS/SCI Clearance with Polygraph
  • Demonstrated successful performance in IT, Computer Application and/or Space/Ground systems engineering
  • Experience with Modeling, Simulation and Systems Analysis
  • Familiarity with IC and/or DoD space architectures, systems, and/or operations
  • Strong organizational, time-management, and verbal / written communication skills; able to convey information across multiple customer and corporate audiences
  • Capability to adapt to fluid situations and prioritize taskings in a dynamic environment
Desired:
  • Professional certification such as IASAE, MCSE or DAWIA
  • Experience in Model Based Systems Engineering and application of MBSE in Systems of Systems Integration
  • Experience with Cameo or other modeling tools
  • MS degree in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering or related technical degree
  • Experience in the engineering process from requirements analysis through verification testing
  • Extensive experience in a Systems Engineering Integration and Test environment for complex systems, specifically Space and Ground systems supporting DoD and/or IC Space programs.
