Job Title: Information Technology - Systems Administrator 2 Location: Dulles, VA—Onsite Company: Northrup Grumman Duration: 9 months contract job with chances of extension Job Id: 7136-1 Job Description:Maintains smooth operation of multi-user computer systems, including coordination with network administrators. Interacts with users and evaluates vendor products. Makes recommendations to purchase hardware and software, coordinates installation and provides backup recovery. Develops and monitors policies and standards for allocation related to the use of computing resources. Ancillary duties may include setting up administrator and service accounts, maintaining system documentation, tuning system performance, installing system wide software and allocating mass storage space.Must have proficiency in administration of both Windows Server and Workstations and Red Hat Linux versions 6,7, and 8 operating systems. Ability to work in both a development and production environments. Prior experience working with US Government systems (NASA) as an administrator is a plus.
