Description:We are seeking a System Engineer to drive new requirements and analyze the performance of hardware and software interfaces and identifies alternatives for optimizing the usage of computer resources and modern hardware solutions for Naval Weapon Systems at the Naval Surface Warfare Center in Dahlgren, VA. This role will bein support of the Track Management Systems in Dahlgren, VA. The Track Management System is a PNT/GPS system for Surface Naval Ships.Job Responsibilities:

Participate in Technical Review Teams, Integrated Product Teams, Technical Working Groups, Technical Interchange Meetings, and Interface Change Working Groups.

Develop and review architectures, component functional allocation and flows, interfaces, system processing and performance for Track Management systems.

Develop descriptions and data flows of proposed systems and perform requirement analysis.

Skills:weapons, test plans, test case, systems engineering, RF, signal analysis, operational test, verification and validation, dodafAdditional Skills & Qualifications:Required Experience:

Accredited Bachelor of Science (BS) degree from ABET in Systems Engineering Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Computer/Software Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Math, Physics or related scientific discipline.

Ten (10)+ years of professional experience in systems, software, electrical or mechanical engineering.

Experience with Naval combat systems, e.g., AEGIS and SSDS, DDG1000, LCS including design, performance, analysis, military applications, or operational experience.

Experience in the development of Naval combat systems, including definition, functional allocation, design development, testing, integration, and operational deployment.

Preferred:

Working knowledge in the development of Department of Defense Architecture Framework (DoDAF) products as well as other architectural representations of Track Management and link functions.

Experience with military (ideally Naval) PNT or GPS systems
