Senior System Engineer (E20-22-0756-Z) Bowhead is seeking a Senior System Engineer to support the NSWCDD E20 Systems Engineering contract and will be responsible for the development of systems engineer plans; implementing and executing best practices for requirements definition & decomposition; the design and implementation of end-user requirements; and assessment of operational performance criteria. Provides integral support in the requirements determination, conceptualization, design, development, testing, verification, and documentation of modeling and simulation-based decision support system applications. Additionally, the Senior Systems Engineer will develop and maintain appropriate documentation through the configuration management process. May provide work leadership for lower-level employees. Requirements In accordance with Executive Order 14042: Ensuring Adequate COVID Safety Protocols for Federal Contractors, candidates should be aware that they may be required to have received or be willing to receive the COVID-19 vaccine. • Bachelor of Science (BS) degree from an accredited college or university in an engineering, scientific, or technical discipline along with a minimum of ten (10) years professional technical experience including at least six (6) years specialized experience in the areas of weapons programs to include: concept definition, design, integration, and engineering (Naval Weapons programs a plus) • Specialized experience also includes systems requirements management, systems engineering design, systems engineering software tools, and systems engineering processes • Applicants must have strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate verbally and in writing • Experience in the development of guidance control systems for rockets and/or missiles is a plus SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIRED: Must be able to maintain a security clearance at the Secret level. US Citizenship is a requirement for Secret clearance at this location.
