SYSTEMS SECURITY ENGINEER (RDTE-22-0983-F): Bowhead seeks an experienced Systems Security Engineer that has an understanding and hands on experience implementing requirements from DoD/DON FRAGO 13 and CTO's related to HBSS within DoD and/or DoN environments. The Systems Security Engineer experience in DoD 8500.2 IA Controls and Annual Security Reviews for DoD and/or DON organizations. Essential functions will include:

• Current hands on knowledge of DISA Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) and Check Lists, SCC/SCAP (Windows), and Security Readiness Review (SRR -scripts) for UNIX. • Must have relevant hands on experience with Windows operating systems (Windows 7/10, and Server 2012R2/2016), Unix, Linux, firewalls, and Demilitarized Zones (DMZs). • Experience in troubleshooting, assessing, resolving, and providing technical guidance for HBSS noted security incidents. • Must have knowledge of and experience with one of the following database management systems: Oracle or SQL. • Experience in ACAS/Nessus or other scanning tools and their communication with McAfee ePO server. Requirements • Bachelor's degree in an appropriate scientific, engineering, or computer related discipline from an accredited institution and experience in systems design, development and integration and five plus (5+) years of experience. • Demonstrated ability to produce system specifications, design requirements, test evaluation planning documents, and technical publications and reports. • Must have a strong understanding of current Microsoft supported Windows operating systems. • Must demonstrate strong analytical and problem solving skills. • Must demonstrate the ability to multi-task and teach or assist others to resolve desktop related issues. • Candidate should be familiar with Department of Defense networking and security accreditation requirements. Experience with Nessus and McAfee's ePolicy Orchestrator is required. • Must meet DoD Directive 8570.1 Information Assurance Workforce Technical Level III certification. Desired Skills: • McAfee Certified Product Specialist - ePolicy Orchestrator and DISA's HBSS training course certificate. Experience with Policy Auditor 6.0/6.2, Application Whitelisting, HIPS 8.0, and DLP 9.2/9.3 policies. ITIL v3 Foundation certified. Possess other security, operating system or IA-enabled device certification. SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIRED: Must currently hold an active Top Secret security clearance. US Citizenship is a requirement for a Top Secret clearance at this location.
