Tax Preparer

Description We are seeking a Tax Preparer to join our team in the CPA industry. The role is based in Chesapeake, Virginia, 23320, United States and offers a contract to permanent employment opportunity. As a Tax Preparer, you will be tasked with assisting customers with tax return preparations, addressing customer inquiries, and ensuring accurate data entry.Responsibilities: Assist clients with the e-filing of their tax returns. Respond to customer inquiries promptly and professionally. Manage customer interactions via phone or email, requesting additional information as needed. Ensure accurate data entry for all customer-related tasks. Monitor customer accounts and take necessary actions. Ensure all customer records are kept up-to-date and accurate. Deliver excellent customer service at all times. Not directly involved in filling out tax returns but assist in the process. Requirements Applicant must have a minimum of 1 year of experience in a relevant field. Proven skills in customer service are necessary. Proficiency in data entry is required. Experience in preparing tax returns is essential. An understanding of CPA firm operations would be beneficial. A keen eye for detail and high levels of accuracy are crucial. Strong organizational skills are needed to manage multiple tasks and deadlines. The ability to work in a high-pressure environment is vital. Strong written and verbal communication skills are a must. The candidate should have the ability to work independently and as part of a team. A commitment to continuous learning and growth is desired.
