Tax Staff - Corporate

Description We are in search of a Tax Staff Accountant to be part of our manufacturing team based in NORFOLK, Virginia, 23502, United States. As a Tax Staff Accountant, you will be expected to work in close collaboration with the Business Unit Finance departments, ensuring accurate tax compliance and implementing best practices. This position will also involve the preparation of responses to tax notices, compliance with fleet requirements, and assistance with tax authority audits. Responsibilities: Collaborate with the Business Unit Finance departments to ensure accurate tax compliance and standardization of methods Prepare responses to tax notices in a timely manner Manage sales & use tax compliance for Corporate Office and Mid-Atlantic Business Unit Oversee compliance with fleet requirements including registration, licensing, permitting, and taxes Maintain the database and collaborate with the Business Units to minimize taxes Assist with tax authority audits, including sales & use tax, excise tax, etc. Research and document tax issues as required Take on various tax projects including sales tax managed compliance agreements Perform other duties as assigned.Interested candidates please contact Tamara Young 757-981-0974Requirements Minimum of 2 years of experience in a corporate tax role within the manufacturing industry Proficient in Microsoft Excel, QuickBooks, and SAP S/4HANA Strong skills in ad hoc reporting Extensive knowledge in compliance and compliance audits Experience in corporate income tax and corporate tax compliance is required Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
