Telecom Engineer

OVERVIEW

CoStar Group, Inc. is seeking an Telecommunication Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will help our employees by being the first line of defense for their communication information and problem resolution. The candidate must be independent, highly motivated, and willing to collaborate with a high-performance team.

This position has the opportunity for hybrid work with up to two days remote per week. Four-day work weeks are also an option for those applicants that are interested.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide guidance, assistance, coordination and follow up on client questions, problems or malfunctions of all communication applications
Provide support to users in offices across the world via remote assistance tools
Document problems and solutions in the ticketing system
Inform management of potential problems and identifies problem trends
Troubleshoot user phone/communication issues
Work with service providers to support troubleshooting issues
Monitor and troubleshoot backups of the systems to ensure recovery of systems should failure occur to redundant systems.
Provide support to technicians and other engineers working projects, trouble tickets and system failures.
Able to communicate effectively with other contacts in order to make projects successful
Any other duties and special projects as assigned

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's Degree
3-5 years of experience in corporate IT, Service Desk, or Telecom support
Ability to troubleshoot issues with Digital, H.323, and SIP phones
Troubleshoot and document deployment
Excellent customer service skills
Excellent problem-solving skills
Highly dedicated and organized

PREFERRED QUALIFCATIONS AND SKILLS

Experience with moves, adds, and changes within a communication solution
