Teller

Description We are offering an engaging role in the banking industry, specifically within a credit union in Newport News, Virginia. This position requires a Teller who will interact with customers directly, helping them with their financial needs. This role will provide you with the opportunity to make a real impact on our customers' lives while building a fulfilling career in banking. Responsibilities: Warmly greet customers and address their banking inquiries. Accurately process deposits, withdrawals, and other financial transactions. Educate customers on our products and services, assisting them in making informed decisions about their financial goals. Assist customers with account inquiries and problem resolution. Promote and cross-sell banking products and services. Maintain a clean and organized workspace. Adhere to all banking regulations and security procedures. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth branch operations. Continuously update your knowledge of banking products and industry trends. Handle cash and manage cash drawers effectively. Requirements Minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role within the banking industry, preferably in a Credit Union Proven experience in cash handling and managing cash drawers Proficiency in daily cash management processes Familiarity with the banking industry and its regulations Exceptional customer service skills and ability to maintain positive relationships with clients Supervisory management skills, demonstrating the ability to guide and support a team Proficient in data entry and comfortable using banking software and systems High school diploma or equivalent education level Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.
