Thermal Microsystems Advisor to work in our

Arlington, VA office.

Please Note: This position is contingent upon contract award.

Job Description: ECS is seeking a technical advisor to support DARPA R&D efforts in Thermal Management of Microsystems. In this role, you will work directly with DARPA leadership on defining and managing research programs for the next generation of technologies in thermal management of advanced microsystems, packaging, and heterogeneous integration. Responsibilities will include:
  • Evaluating state-of-the-art technologies and their limitations.
  • Developing reports and presentations for program development.
  • Supporting briefings to senior leadership.
  • Evaluating project risks and providing mitigation solutions.
  • Support the coordination and execution of program-funded testing.
  • Assess individual performer risks, track performer progress relative to plan, project anticipated performer outcomes and ensure that project management best practices are followed.
  • Attending and organizing program reviews and site visits.
Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance is required. Candidates are expected to be onsite at the Ballston Square office in Arlington, VA with a potential for hybrid schedule.

Required Skills:
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance.
  • Master's degree with 3-5 years' experience or PhD with 1-2 years' experience.
  • Coursework and/or demonstrated experience in heat transfer, fluid mechanics computation techniques, thermal management for microelectronics.
  • Familiarity with microelectronic systems: heterogeneous integration, ASIC development process, packaging.
