Trimmer/Weed Whacker

Hello and thanks for showing interest in the trimmer/weed whacker position. I always get a ton of people that say they are interested, but either don’t show up after being hired or they’re not the right candidate. This position is part-time. It is not full-time work, it is seasonal work. I'm looking for a person that can follow instructions. I’m looking for a person that can be constantly guided on how my company does things without catching an attitude. I am really big on details! (By the way, my favorite two colors are blue and red). I'm also looking for a person to move fast but stay hydrated and safe at the same time. A Positive Attitude is a huge must! I won’t work with a moody person.

Person must be Extremely Experienced with a trimmer/weedwhacker, no exceptions. Person must be physically fit to push a self-propelled lawn mower whenever we have a ditch or outlining must be done. I cut the majority of the yard with a zero-turn mower. You must wear safety glasses at ALL times when on site.

Person must have a valid drivers license and a good driving record. Must report to my house in the mornings. I live in the East End of Henrico right off of the Nine Mile road exit off of the 64 interstate. I am also looking for someone who has some experience with driving a small truck and trailer because my business is growing rapidly. I’m looking for someone I can eventually send out by themselves. It's so important that I have people that I can trust, people that are reliable, consistent, and keep their word. Those type of people are almost non-existent. My company has a 100% zero tolerance for drug use. A drug test WILL be conducted.

We work 3 - 4 days per week, Tues - Thurs and some Mondays or Fridays depending on the weather. We don’t cut when it’s raining outside. We cut between 6 - 8 yards per day. Yards are average sizes and take between 30mins - 45mins. Work hours range from 8am-4pm, 7am-3pm, and 6am-2pm when temperatures are triple digits outside. Pay ranges between $100 - $125 per day!
