USPS Contractor hiring Diesel Mechanics

General requirements for the positions:

High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair preferred

Basic mechanical experience of 1 year of automotive or diesel repair experience (preferred)

Valid driver’s license

The ability to work well as part of a team and outside

Physical requirements for the position:

While performing the duties of this job, the associate will be required to move frequently, stand, walk, and sit. The associate is frequently required to use hands to touch, handle, and feel, and to reach with hands and arms. The associate must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 50lbs and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75lbs.

Main Responsibilities:

Making sure vehicles are maintained and safe

complete repairs, including basic vehicle diagnostics

Doing preventative maintenance repairs—like replacing or rotating tires—and completing vehicle component lubrication and replacement, some electrical system repairs, and cooling system maintenance on our company owned vehicles
