Overview IDA is seeking a Windows Engineer with experience in Windows 10/11 deployments in a mid to large sized corporate environment. Should be able to demonstrate knowledge of scripting, MDT and Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (SCCM/MECM) with regard to OS builds, task sequencing, and in place upgrades for the Windows desktop operating system. Will manage multiple Windows domains, using Active Directory, Group Policy, MECM, and PowerShell. Position is on-site or hybrid Responsibilities In a team environment, the Windows Engineer will have overall responsibilities for the full life cycle of Windows 10/11 and IDA baseline applications. They will maintain and implement technical initiatives in regards to the lifecycle management. These include:
- Manage GPOs in various domain environments as well as on standalone PCs
- Create, automate and update a variety of Windows builds
- Package, test and deploy new baseline applications, updates to current applications, and/or changes to the baseline
- Address multiple and often conflicting priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Test and evaluate the next generation hardware/software
- Monitor and resolve performance and technical issues
- Monitor for security related vulnerabilities, maintain security compliance and patch management
- Use PowerShell to automate tasks, deploy applications and other infrastructure related tasks
- Interact with users and evaluate vendor products
- Manage the security baseline in line with DISA STIGs
- Manage Windows 10/11 full life cycle across the fleet of PCs
- Automate and standardize processes and procedures
- Mentor junior staff
- Create and maintain Standard Operating Procedures
- Experience with virtual machines is a plus
- Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science or related field coupled with six years minimum experience in Information Technology, which includes at least four years in systems administration OR high school diploma with ten years minimum experience in Information Technology, which includes at least four years in systems administration.
- Possess advanced knowledge in designing, administering, and supporting computer systems, and software, preferably the Microsoft suite of enterprise software.
- Experience with application life cycle support, McAfee Enterprise Policy Orchestrator, McAfee endpoint products, and HBSS.
- VDI experience a plus
- CompTIA Sec+ certification is required.
- HBSS Certification is required.
- Must be organized, self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.
- Ability to communicate effectively in both written and verbal form and with all levels of employees; possess good interpersonal skills.
- Must be willing to work hours outside of a regular schedule.
- Ability to obtain and maintain appropriate security clearance.
- Ability to obtain and maintain DOD 8570 IAT II certification.
- Successful completion of a criminal background check is required.
