About the Opportunity

The Federal Reserve System FRS has transitioned human resources, finance and procurement technology systems into one integrated cloud-based platform using the Workday and SAP Ariba product solutions. To support this new platform, operational support capabilities are being reorganized to be singularly focused on one goal - to deliver a world-class platform in support of the Federal Reserve's mission. The ERP Support Office (ESO) has been created to spearhead technical support of the new solution by establishing an agile team that will embrace change, drive innovation, and rapidly respond to the changing needs of stakeholders.

Our ERP Support Office has an immediate opening for a Senior Workday Finance Report Writer.

As the Workday Finance Report Writer, you will develop and maintain Workday reports utilizing Workday Report Writer, including standardized dashboards or customized views of data upon request. You will ensure that the data pulled is consistent with business needs and use your knowledge and experience to customize reports and deliver meaningful information. You will answer questions from end-users to provide additional context and guide and mentor junior level report writers.

What You Will Do:
  • Analyze reporting requirements to determine development methods, development templates, and report design
  • Develop and maintain Workday reports (advanced, matrix, composite, BIRT) utilizing Workday Report Writer and Report Designer, as well as other available technologies
  • Build and maintain calculated fields in accordance with best practices and industry standards
  • Design and develop accurate dashboards to enhance operations and provide leadership the ability to make strategic decisions
  • Partner with stakeholders to understand report/data requirements and ensure results meet the business needs
  • Work with our security team to build reports that are compliant with the System's security policy
  • Troubleshoot and resolve report related issues
  • Assess change impact and maintain proper change management documentation to satisfy the Project's internal/external audit controls
  • Actively participate in the Workday Community by researching, contributing to content, voting on Brainstorms, etc.
  • Participate in design sessions to capture requirements and data for Workday report development
  • Ensure the reporting requirements are met across all functional areas
  • Support the establishment of a post-go-live reporting capability

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in computer science or related field required
  • 3- 6 years experience with Workday Finance with report development (designing, coding, testing, optimizing) for complex reports
  • Proficient in the current Workday Finance applications (Security, Reporting, Business Processes, Suppliers, Customer, Project, Business Assets, APIs, XML, and data extracts/transmissions)
  • Understanding of system architecture components in a multi-tier, multi-platform systems
  • Ability to learn and adapt to new technologies
  • Well-versed in Agile development methodologies including Scrum best practices
  • Experience with Workday's Financial Management suite - Accounting Center, Prism, Banking & Settlements, Supplier, Supplier Accounting, Business Assets, Projects, Customer Accounts, Tax, Financial Accounting.
  • Background in identifying, designing, testing, and deploying reports in an ERP system
  • Demonstrated ability to work with cross-functional teams
