Job Title: Abatement Supervisor

Job Description

As an Abatement Supervisor, you will oversee, manage, and execute activities on abatement projects to ensure top-notch service delivery and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

Ensure a positive customer experience and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.

Supervise and guide abatement workers, providing clear expectations.

Perform abatement processes while maintaining strict quality control.

Identify and mitigate safety hazards to ensure a safe working environment.

Document and maintain detailed job files to support the services provided.

Efficiently manage labor and materials to protect resources.

Communicate effectively with field workers, operations managers, surveyors, estimators, and clients to ensure timely project completion.

Conduct field safety meetings.

Communicate project expectations to work crew members; bilingual skills are advantageous.

Keep an organized file for each project, including correspondence, receipts/invoices, and other crucial documents.

Meet all project deadlines.

Wear a respirator and personal protective equipment as required.

Ensure routine and efficient completion of maintenance tasks.

Collect air samples to confirm that air meets clearance levels.

Oversee asbestos projects, including removal, abatement, and disturbance.

Ensure that workers adhere to company policies and procedures.

Essential Skills

Minimum of 1 year of experience in abatement.

Current Asbestos Supervisor certification.

Strong supervisory and communication skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Hand tool usage

General labor experience

Supervision skills

Construction experience

Carpentry skills

Safety knowledge

Power tool usage

Participate in required industry training, update certifications, and maintain fitness levels as required for the environmental field.

Work Environment

Regularly lift 50 pounds independently; occasionally lift up to 100 pounds with assistance. Work in diverse and challenging conditions, including tight spaces, overhead work, and exposure to fumes. Wear a respirator and personal protective equipment as required.
