Description We are in search of a meticulous Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in Kent, Washington. In this role, you will be an essential part of our Accounting & Finance Department, ensuring the delivery of precise financial reports. Your primary responsibilities will involve data entry, account and statement reconciliation, and maintaining accounts payable files.Responsibilities: Receive, review, and verify invoices for accuracy and completeness. Input invoices into the accounting system. Ensure appropriate approvals are obtained for payments. Prepare and process electronic transfers and payments. Maintain the payment schedule and ensure timely payments to vendors. Monitor accounts to ensure payments are up to date. Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies. Maintain accurate records of all transactions. Perform month-end closing activities related to accounts payable. Communicate with vendors regarding invoice issues and payment status. Collaborate with internal departments to address invoice and payment queries. Assist in developing and maintaining accounts payable policies and procedures. Prepare and maintain various financial reports and summaries. Document all accounts payable activities for audit purposes. Assist with audits by providing necessary documentation and information. This role offers a short term contract employment opportunity.
