Accounts Payable Specialist

Description We are in search of an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in the manufacturing industry based in Fife, Washington. In this role, you will be responsible for the accurate and efficient processing of invoices, maintaining impeccable records, and handling vendor interactions. This role offers a short term contract employment opportunity.Responsibilities: Accurately process between 30 and 50 purchase order (PO) and non-PO invoices daily. Maintain precise records of customer credit applications. Handle manual keying tasks, ensuring accuracy and efficiency. Comfortably work with discounts and resolve any quantity discrepancies. Research and resolve invoice discrepancies in a timely manner. Liaise with vendors as part of the role, ensuring smooth operations. Work on accruals at month-end in coordination with the team. Participate in special projects as needed, contributing your expertise. Utilize your experience in the manufacturing industry to enhance processes. Use Oracle and ERP solutions to streamline accounts payable processes. Requirements Minimum of 3 years of experience in an Accounts Payable role Proficiency in Oracle and other ERP solutions Comprehensive understanding and experience with Accounts Payable (AP) Experience in handling Purchase Orders Proven skills in Vendor Management Ability to handle and rectify Invoice Discrepancies Experience in researching and resolving discrepancies Prior experience in the Manufacturing Industry is preferred High level of accuracy and attention to detail Strong organizational and time management skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word.
