Description We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for a hybrid Accounts Payable Specialist in South Seattle, Washington. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing vendor information and transactions, processing invoices, and resolving issues that arise relating to vendors and managers of facilities. This role is situated within a fast-paced environment, requiring a high level of organization and attention to detail.Responsibilities: Oversee and maintain vendor information, ensuring all necessary details are up-to-date and accurate. Assign vendor and general ledger codes to invoices, incorporating sales tax where necessary. Enter invoices into the relevant accounting software systems in a timely manner. Prepare vendor invoices for payment, issuing checks or Automated Clearing House (ACH) payments as needed. Handle vendor-related issues and inquiries, liaising with facility managers as required. Conduct regular reconciliation of vendor statements to ensure accuracy. Work in a high-volume environment, processing a large number of transactions efficiently. Cross-train with other team members in accounts payable tasks to provide backup during vacation periods. Use Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and other accounting functions effectively to manage vendor relationships. Perform other duties as assigned, contributing to the smooth running of the accounts payable department.Requirements Proficiency in Account Coding Familiarity and experience with large ERP systems including NetSuite (client is currently going through a conversion) Capability to perform various Accounting Functions Expertise in handling Accounts Payable (AP) Ability to Maintain Vendor Files Experience in managing Vendor Relationships Capacity to deal with Multiple Vendors Knowledge of Automated Clearing House (ACH) operations Strong communication and interpersonal skills Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred Prior experience in a similar role will be advantageous.Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
