Position Description: The Administrative Coordinator (AC) is a critical staff member modeling the WDRC’s core values by creating a warm, welcoming, and professional atmosphere while interacting with clients, staff, volunteers, and other visitors. The AC staffs our front desk, and is responsible for the development, implementation and continual assessment of office systems and administrative processes, in coordination with the Operations Manager (OM) and Admin Team. An ideal candidate possesses excellent interpersonal and office skills, and is reliable, detail-oriented, organized, flexible, independent, efficient, and able to multitask. Primary duties of the role include coordinating office and technology systems, facilities maintenance, and volunteers.
REQUIRED Skills & Experience
● AA or comparable experience and 2+ years experience in administrative/office/clerical work
● High proficiency with standard office equipment and technology/software systems
● Ability to be neutral, nonjudgmental, and patient
● Ability to convey a high level of professionalism, warmth, and compassion
● Resilience to emotionally charged conversations
● Strong listening skills, as well as very strong written and verbal communication skills
● Highly organized and capable of receiving, tracking and managing large amounts of complex information; flexible and able to adapt to new circumstances with regular interruptions
● Strong time management skills and ability to successfully adhere to externally prescribed deadlines
● Ability to work in a collaborative environment and also successfully work independently
● This position requires computer use while sitting or standing; will at times involve moving to different locations within the building; moving supplies up to 25lbs
Other Desired Qualifications:
● Familiarity with and belief in mediation and alternative dispute resolution
● Relevant work or volunteer experience in the nonprofit sector
● Associates degree in office administration or related field
● Experience working with people of diverse ages, skills, backgrounds, ethnicities & beliefs
● Bilingual proficiency preferred
