Aggregate Production Plant Operator

Company: Miles Sand & Gravel

Location: Island County

Position Type: Full Time, Monday - some Saturdays

Hours: 5;30am to 4;00pm times may vary

Application Closing Date: March 31, 2025 or until filled

Compensation: $30.39 to $40.10

Job Description:

Repair and maintain aggregate plant.

Able to arc weld (stick and wire) and use an oxy/ace cutting torch.

Have the ability to fabricate with steel or materials provided.

Extensive work with a shovel.

Have basic plumbing skills and knowledge of electrical (120, 240 & 480 volt).

Be able to perform tasks at high elevations.

Work in tight or confined spaces.

Wear a full face mask respirator in dusty environments.

Operate equipment: loader, backhoe, man-lift, forklift, excavator, dozer etc.

Perform tasks with basic hand tools.

Operate electric and pneumatic power tools.

Hard physical labor in any environment

Job Skills and Requirements:

Communications: be able to listen, follow directions, self-motivated & communicate with co-workers.

Proficiency/Dexterity: need to work fast and safe while performing task required. Being agile, good with your hands & tools, and having good hand/eye coordination is vitally important.

Stamina: need to be able to lift up to 50 lbs. and able to stand or kneel & work in dirty, wet or undesirable conditions for long periods of time.

Team Player: be reliable and dependable to co-workers and to all you are servicing and above all, SAFETY FIRST.
