Fast pace, busy family-run business is looking to hire a team member to assist with business operations and the management of catered events. The job duties would include some event planning/on-site event work, but a majority of the tasks would be working internally with the team to prepare for upcoming weddings, galas and other large events.
Requirements:
- At least 2 years' experience either as an event planner or working in catering service.
- A flexible schedule. This job will require the ability to work nights and weekends as needed.
- You must be able to flexible and be able to prioritize and manage a little bit of chaos.
- You must also have strong communication skills (both written and verbal) and be able to stay organized when working on multiple projects at one time.
- You must have a passion for problem solving and being resourceful!
Management experience is a big plus! This job does require scheduling and co-managing a team.
This is a full-time position with PTO, paid holidays, optional health insurance and 401k with match.
The job requires a positive attitude, love of creativity, a strong work ethic, great customer service skills, diligent time management and the ability to be physically on your feet for a 12-14 hour event shift.
