Back-End Services Node/JavaScript Developer

Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc., (SGA), is searching for a Back-End Services Node/JavaScript Developer for a Contract assignment with one of our premier Technology Industry Clients (Big Tech) based out of any of the following locations: CA San Jose, Los Angeles, Emeryville (Oakland), WA Seattle, OR Portland, UT Lehi, CO Denver . This position will be worked on a hybrid onsite/remote basis and support PST hours. We can only engage on a direct w2 basis, we cannot do any corp engagement for this client Responsibilities :

• Majority of services development with some support to front end clients
• Work on a Microservices architecture using the latest JavaScript libraries and other technologies
• Deploy code to dev/stage/production using Jenkins pipelines or other CI/CD tools.
• Work on an agile development team, crafting innovative new features and maintaining existing ones using world-class technologies
• Define long-term solutions for component-based architecture using reactive coding methodologies
• Take on exciting design and engineering problems to deliver outstanding services
• Write tests and documentation as you implement features with the team.
• Advocate development and operation standard methodologies among the development team
• Collaborate with other specialists on problems of all shapes and sizes, from code to new insights and methodologies.

• Experience working with NodeJS middleware.
• Strong knowledge and proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, NodeJS, HTML, CSS, Lit
• Solid understanding of the latest web development patterns.
• Strong knowledge and experience building RESTful APIs following Microservices architecture patterns
• Strong understanding of architecture patterns for frontend-backend dependencies
• Excellent debugging skills.
• Excellent analysis and problem-solving abilities
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Growth mindset, eager to learn/receive from feedback of others
• What you need to succeed:
• At least 5 yrs. of software development experience.
• 5+ years of hands-on coding experience building web services
• Ability to innovate, prioritize, and multi-task.
• BS or MS in Computer Science or comparable experience.
