Understand brand strategy providing strategic thought leadership on client engagements

Demonstrate an intimate understanding of how B2B and B2C target audiences interact with channels (paid, owned and earned touchpoints) as well as technology

Be a thought leader and personality in the room to help win new business and grow existing client revenue

Be a strong analytical thinker and technology translator with exception research dexterity including experience with research (desk, quantitative and qualitative) and strategy-centric tools such as Global Web Index, MRI, Vivvix (Kantar Ad Intelligence), Statista and Google Trends to uncover data and insights.

Develop client relationships with senior leadership as a key strategic and business partner

Unearth consumer insights and evaluating digital behaviors to creative a compelling advantage for brands

Day-to day your role will concentrate on driving brand strategy across key accounts while leading the strategic direction with internal and external teams in relation to the client brand/ portfolio brand development and marketing approach

Gain deep and evolving understanding of our client’s business objectives, challenges, threats and opportunities – including a forward looking awareness of emerging threats

Develop a nuanced understanding of our clients customers wants, needs and behaviors across the full customer journey.

YOUR ROLE

In this role you will be responsible for global brand strategy lead responsible for developing strategy and implementing this across B2B (and B2C) clients and prospects across marketing and advertising channels. You will operate as a collaborator with other departments like account, creative and analytics to ensure cohesive and integrated campaigns.

You will also be a team leader managing a team of strategists providing guidance, mentorship and support to ensure high quality work and success.

You will oversee brand strategy, branding, naming, trademarking and brand research and implementation for new business and existing clients globally.

You will have fluency in top and middle funnel strategy to meet client objectives at different funnel stages, articulate reporting findings, insights and recommendations.

The ideal candidate can run a pitch (before and during) to build and implement a winning idea (red thread) that considers both the interests fo the clients and the wellbeing of our people through the process.

The ideal candidate is comfortable analyzing data, is an avid communicator and storyteller, creative in their approach to solving problems, and is confident in their abilities and experience. You will be a team player who is able to see the bigger picture and provide strategic direction to internal teams to achieve our collective goals.

In this role, you will drive the following areas:

Agency Capability

Build agency capability for brand strategy, frameworks, templates, methodologies to determine positioning and messaging for new brands, line extensions and portfolio branding.

Be a thought leader and write agency points of view on brand strategy that will be promoted on our agency website, social media, at events, etc…

Mentor FTEs/ freelancers to deliver best in class brand strategy work.

Partners with new business for Indigo Slate and partner agencies to articulate our brand strategy offering in proposals.

Strong partnership with creative directors, designer and copywriters to build award-winning solutions.

Client Consultancy

Advise and support clients in implementing new brand strategies across their organizations as it relates to paid media.

Partner with clients to help them grow their understanding of brand strategy and best practices

Champion innovative solutions and sell in brand ideas to help clients accelerate business growth

Project Oversight

Inspire and support delivery team leaders to translate statements of work into cohesive project plans, assign resources, and define responsibilities.

Align clients with a carefully planned and measured approach. Provide positive motivation, guidance, and governance throughout all projects.

YOUR EXPERIENCE

At least 10-12 years of of professional services brand experience in brand strategy and working for an agency.

Experience leading teams and client delivery for global Fortune 500 B2B brands.

Have 5 years of agency to client facing experience as a project leader.

Comfortable with strategy and campaign design including strategy, tactical plans, audience targeting, channel strategy, channel mix, customer journey mapping and measurement / reporting.

Campaign execution and management including brand management, A/B testing, reporting and analysis, and optimization strategy.

SET YOURSELF APART

Strong data and creative storytelling. Ability to align key messages to audiences, develop campaign voice, tone, and theme, and define strong engagement strategies that resonate with clients as it relates to performance marketing.

Certifications in brand strategy, and other brand strategy tools/resources.

Proven track record of success in performance marketing supported by awards, campaign honors, etc.
