Building Maintenance and Groundskeeper

Job Summary

Perform building maintenance and grounds keeping work in residential apartment complex, including responding to emergencies as needed. This is a part-time, hourly position; paid monthly. Potential to live on-site at a discounted rent available on top of hourly rate. This position reports to the Stanford Apartments Property Manager.

Typical job functions are, but not limited to, the following:

Perform janitorial duties such as twice weekly cleaning of common areas.

Keep communal outdoor areas swept and free of debris.

Respond to needs of tenants in a timely manner.

Perform lawn care and maintenance.

Maintain landscape irrigation system.

Trim shrubs and trees.

Attend to seasonal tasks such as winterizing of buildings.

Perform occasional minor handy-man tasks such as painting or minor electrical repairs.

Qualifications:

Physical ability to perform landscaping and maintenance duties.

Some experience in landscaping, janitorial, and/or carpentry tasks.

Ability to work independently and to manage own time.

Flexibility to respond to high-priority tasks.

Strong work ethic.

Ability to utilize customer service skills with tenants.
