We are currently assisting our client, a philanthropic organization, with a
contractor search for a Business Systems Analyst – Knowledge & Data Management.Role Summary:This position will work with the Knowledge Management team to design, build, deploy, pilot, test, and scale a new knowledge management discovery system across the enterprise. The successful candidate will have strong business analysis and verbal and written communication skills as well as experience with change management and user adoption. This role will help the organization classify and manage knowledge assets and data for easier discovery as part of a holistic enterprise knowledge management system.Core Responsibilities- Customer Engagement: Deeply understand the customer’s business capabilities, processes, needs, user feedback and be able to work with business stakeholders and product owners to synthesize all of that into a prioritized set of user-centric functional and technical requirements.
- Requirements Gathering: Gather, analyze, and document solution requirements. Facilitate user story creation and backlog grooming in an agile delivery environment.
- Data Analysis: Analyze data and documents from enterprise applications to support knowledge management needs
- Project Delivery: Own story epics within technical delivery, user story generation, confirmation of acceptance criteria and required sign-offs. Experience working in SCRUM / Agile methodology and in common toolsets like Jira.
- Prototyping: Organize or lead prototype development, participate in demos & user acceptance reviews, work with technical leads on the creation of design documents and artifacts
- Quality: Work closely with QA to ensure systems are built and configured to requirements and design specification, coordinate the development of the test plan, test cases and facilitation of UAT.
- Communication: Key partner in communications for project owners and project managers, assisting with development of content and delivery of project communications and stakeholder management
- Strong interpersonal and customer relationship skills, including the ability to communicate to multiple levels of the organization and with non-technical partners to derive technical requirements and priorities.
- Strong analytic and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with custom development, packaged products implementation, systems integration, and cloud-hosted solutions.
- Business requirement elicitation techniques, options prioritization and analysis, translation to technical functional and non-functional requirements, solution design, test planning, change management, vendor management.
- Ability to couple technology expertise with deep understanding of business requirements to design and deploy highly reliable, scalable, and sustainable technology solutions.
- Demonstrates working knowledge of all facets of systems development lifecycle and IT operations.
- Ability to create clear procedures and system documentation.
- Able to adjust workstyle and communication to match team or audience, especially when working with non-technical resources.
- Ability to work independently and manage time.
- Ability to facilitate small teams, guiding work delivery and quality.
- Understanding of M365 and Azure or other cloud computing platforms.
- Familiarity with Logical Data Model (LDMs) and Conceptual Data Models (CDMs)
- Strong SQL and data analysis skills
- Familiarity with document management, metadata and taxonomy design and enterprise search
- Bachelor’s Degree with 7+ years of experience, or equivalent experience
- Demonstrated technical acumen
- Demonstrated ability to come up to speed on new tools quickly
- Process design and mapping
- Collaborate with Stakeholders; Change Management, user training
- Experience creating knowledge graphs, graph-structured data models, or other topology techniques to analyze and design new data management structures.

- Length of Assignment – 12 Months to start, possibility of extension or conversion.
- Compensation – $65 p/hr -$110 p/hr DOE
