Job Description

The Clinical Scientist will be responsible for supporting clinical trials in Oncology. The primary responsibility is to support data cleaning deliverables and may also include other responsibilities as trial needs arise. The successful candidate will report to a lead Clinical Scientist and should have demonstrated proficiency in reviewing safety and efficacy data in clinical trials (oncology preferred).

Essential Functions Include:

  • Provide medical/scientific support to one or more clinical study teams within a clinical development program; majority of work will focus on ongoing data reviews but may also include other responsibilities as trial needs arise
  • Contribute to routine and ongoing review of study data with a focus on safety and efficacy using electronic database capture systems, data review tools, and data outputs
  • Identify issues or inconsistencies within the clinical dataset and work with the study team to resolve data issues
  • Interact with external vendors or CROs to request progress updates or clarify any data issues
  • Provide support to the medical team for other study-related deliverables as needed
  • Attend study meetings with relevant cross-functional teams

Qualifications

Qualified candidates must have:

  • 2+ years of industry experience in clinical drug development; oncology background in solid tumors desired; bladder cancer and/or immuno-oncology experience is a plus
  • Flexibility to work under dynamic timelines for one or more clinical studies
  • Experience reviewing safety and efficacy data in oncology clinical studies
  • Experience using electronic data capture and data review tools such as Medidata Rave or Spotfire
  • Familiarity with medical assessment criteria including RECIST/iRECIST and CTCAE
  • MD, MD/PhD, PhD (biosciences or statistics), PharmD, APRN or PA; advanced medical or scientific degree required
  • PST time zone preferred or have flexibilityto work PST hours
