The Coater Operator role is a vital part to the overall operations to the plant.  And the experience you have may make you a perfect fit to join our team at our NEW Washington, MO. plant.  You will need to operate complex equipment at the paint heads to apply liquid films or laminates according to customer specifications.Want to take your career to the next level?  Working at Precoat Metals can take you down a career path of multiple opportunities, including opportunity to move into more skilled Line Operator positions.  Start your success down a great career path today with Precoat Metals!Some of your Responsibilities include:Reads, comprehends and interprets production schedules and paint sheetsApplies coatings to raw material according to customer specificationsAccurately measures and records paint viscosityApplies knowledge of volume solids and resins to coating processesSets roll speeds for specific vendor/resin systemsInspects risers, headers, nozzles, mist sprays, etc. to ensure they are working properlyMaintains adequate levels of paint in pan and paint curtainProperly adjusts strip guideQuickly analyzes application defects and problems and takes appropriate corrective actionsAccurately records paint usage by order and container traceabilityAdjusts catenary to minimize strip drags in the ovensEfficiently operates hold down buttons to coat wavy edgesPerforms clean up of coater heads, pans, pumps, etc.Starts and shuts down ovensAssists line operators with stitching coil strips together
