Custom Fabrication Shop Assistant:
Custom fabrication assistant position will be involved in a full range of duties required to produce custom architectural products. The range of work that we take on includes millwork, casework, metal, stone, and upholstery. We anticipate this role primarily helping with millwork & casework. Job duties will range from assisting other skilled tradesman in production processes like sanding and cleaning to organizing parts and assisting in actual assembly processes. Our employees must be able to work hard in manual labor situations, have the cognitive skills to do math and care about quality results.
Our ideal candidate is hard working, organized, and eager to learn. The ability to work with and learn from the other trades in the shop is an invaluable asset.

Experience Needed:
You will be working with different types of materials: Framing lumber, hard woods, plywood, steel, aluminum, etc. We are looking for people who have proficiency with the following tools:
Circular Saw
Orbital & Belt Sanders
Staple, glue and caulking guns
Table Saw
Hand Router
Chop Saw
Duties, Responsibilities, Skills:
Arriving on time
Loading and unloading/ stacking lumber/ heavy lifting/ repetitive movement and lifting
Clearing and cleaning work areas
Working closely with shop foreman and skilled workers
Using, cleaning and maintaining different tools used in the millwork process
Following all safety and precautionary measures while operating power tools and other equipment
Must be able to work standing up for 8-10 hours in a given day
Must be able to lift 100lbs without accommodation
Must have mobility for frequent pushing, pulling, bending, and stooping
Must be able to frequently squat down and reach above shoulder height
Must be able to safely climb ladders to heights of 25 feet
