Remote: Experis is looking for an Enterprise Azure Database Administrator. The Enterprise Azure Database Administrator is directly involved in the design, tactical and strategic projects that directly support core business functions. The successful candidate will take ownership of DB production issues, implementation and maintenance of the overall data services and act as a resource to the multiple business customers.
Responsibilities- Assess and develop long-term strategic goals for production databases in conjunction with data owners.
- Design and implement redundant systems, policies, and procedures for disaster recovery and data archiving to ensure effective protection and integrity of data assets.
- Work with the Infrastructure teams to ensure databases are properly backed up and protected in accordance with the needs of the application's primary stakeholder and the disaster recovery and data retention policies.
- Provide day-to-day support for the firm's SQL systems and applications, including monitoring database health to ensure a stable environment as well as diagnosing and resolving database access and performance issues.
- Plan and coordinate data migrations between systems.
- Develop, implement, and maintain change control and testing processes for modifications to databases.
- Review, map and document data migrations and integrations between source systems
- Document production environments including work flows for business process support
- Bachelor's degree in business, computer science, information systems or related certifications.
- 3-5 years as a Professional DBA in a corporate environment.
- Solid understanding of Azure cloud database technologies.
- Professional operational understanding of the client/server application stack.
- Working knowledge of Transact-SQL, Stored Procedures, SQL Mail, SSRS and triggers.
- Strong ability to document processes and procedures, including technical diagrams towards organizational data flow.
- Functional knowledge of data injections using SharePoint Power Atomate and PowerBI.
- Understands the need for documentation and well-defined procedures.
- Able to interact positively and with tact with all levels and be a good team player.
- Methodical approach to work, with a strong focus on accuracy and quality.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong Time Management skills
