Housing Hope and HopeWorks agencies are the major non-profit developers of affordable housing and provider of human services in Snohomish County and Camano Island. Our mission is to promote and provide affordable housing and tailored services to reduce homelessness and poverty for residents of Snohomish County and Camano Island. We achieve this through a variety of interventions including social enterprises, children’s services, subsidized housing opportunities and services, employment, education, and training services.

Purpose:

The Lead Delivery & Sales Associate position oversees matters and opportunities pertaining to deliveries when out in the field. They are responsible for coaching and providing direction to the Delivery Assistant, as well as ensuring that safety measures and precautions are always followed by all parties. They assist management in operations associated with ReNew Home and Décor Store. This includes (but is not limited to) pickup and delivery of consignment and donation items, moving furniture, hauling items to waste and recycle, managing the logistics calendar, tracking, and recording mileage, online research, acquiring, pricing, and selling of merchandise and inventory control.

Availability to work Tue – Fri from 10AM to 3PM

Drive a 14-foot box truck to primarily pickup and deliver consignment and donation items. This includes loading and unloading the vehicle.

Ensure deliveries and pickups are accurate and timely.

Maintains vehicle and visually inspects daily.

Maintains accurate mileage tracker logbook.

Collects fees and completed contracts from customer.

Move items safely from one location to another.

Arrange appointments with consignors to acquire merchandise.

Research to determine appropriate pricing for merchandise.

Operate on-line cash register, handle credit transactions.

Upload inventory to point-of-sale software.

Regularly update social media as directed by manager (includes Craigslist, Facebook, blog, etc.).

Acknowledge and greet customers that are within a close radius or ten seconds of arriving.

Engage the customer through conversation. Determine the customer’s needs.

Train interns on customer service, entering inventory into computer, and basic job skills.

Ship and package merchandise.

General housekeeping, vacuuming, dusting.

Always follows safety procedures.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly and extensively required to use hands to type and perform other administrative tasks.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

The employee may occasionally lift, carry, push, and pull up to 100 lbs or more with proper safety gear.

Ability to work in a general office environment as well as an outdoor environment. Possible exposure to weather—heat, wet, cold, wind, and noise.

Required Education & Experience:

High School Degree or equivalent

Current Driver’s License

Safe driving record

Excellent customer service skills

Excellent interpersonal skills, including ability to write and communicate effectively.

Ability to effectively prioritize multiple tasks, solve problems and meet deadlines.

Preferred Skills & Experience:

Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel.

Experience with social media.

Re-sale retail experience.
