Find your future with us.Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA), 737 Development ALIT (Airplane Level Integration Team) is seeking highly motivated and talented First Level Manager (Level K) for the role of Deputy Safety, Certification and Performance Leader in Renton, WA. This is a high visibility and developmental role with leadership and technical assignments that directly support 737 development, certification, flight-testing, technical integration, and program-level coordination to obtain 737-7 and 737-10 Amended Type Certificates (ATC).In addition to leading the ALIT (Airplane Level Integration Team) of PIMs (project integration managers). This leader will collaborate with their peers in ALIT and across the other IPTs. He/she will recruit, coach, and mentor team-members to develop and integrate across the other program ALIT teams as well as Airplane Level Engineering Integration (ALEI).Position Responsibilities:

Provides technical, business, and integration leadership for the 737 Program on engineering issues requiring cross-functional and cross-organization leadership, both internal and external to Boeing.

Responsible for developing integrated plans, establishing and leading teams, monitoring and responding to technical developments, risk management, and managing all aspects of projects to closure.

This position requires a quick learner who can rapidly understand complex technical concepts across multiple engineering disciplines, a problem solver who can analyze and organize complex technical (and often nebulous) problems into actionable execution plans, and a leader who can build consensus, deliver results, and demonstrate beginning to end accountability.

Ability to take ownership / initiative, pull teams together, establish battle rhythm, remove roadblocks.

Manages, develops, and motivates employees.

Clearly communicates with team, leadership, regulators, and customers.

Work Authorization:This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at Renton, WA.Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.

5+ years of experience in an engineering role

1+ years of experience leading teams in a formal and /or informal leadership role

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

Experience with airplane certification, working with Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) regulations, and collaborating with Regulatory Administration.

Prior experience with flight-test programs and/or airplane development programs.

Engineering background in at least one of the following disciplines: Airframe, Flight Sciences, Flight Test, Interiors, Propulsion, or Systems, and an understanding of certification processes.

Communication skills: Ability to translate complex issues into cohesive, actionable components and communicate at an executive level.

Integration skills: Ability to build consensus, negotiate, and empower teams to deliver results where process definition may not yet exist or is unclear

Summary pay range: $147,050 – $198,950
