Job Summary
Rocky Mountain Hospitality, owner/operators of a dozen lodging properties in Idaho and Montana, is seeking a Director of Training and Development.
Reporting to the Director of Operations, this executive level position is responsible for the skill and career development of all team members in each of our properties. Additionally, the position will lead the on-boarding of new property General Managers along with covering the needs of the properties during leadership transition and vacancy. The position is based out of the Coeur d’Alene area and requires travel and overnighting in Northern Idaho and Western Montana.
Ideal candidate will have a history of successful hotel management experience, an understanding of what motivates our team members and an ability to help build award winning Hospitality Superstars. This position plays a pivotal role in the development and implementation of training programs that enhance employee skills and organizational performance. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and a passion for developing others.

Responsibilities
Conduct needs assessments to identify skill gaps and training requirements across departments.
Facilitate engaging training sessions, utilizing public speaking skills to present information effectively.
Create instructional materials and resources that support various learning styles.
Address conflicts that may arise during training sessions, employing conflict management techniques to ensure a positive learning environment.
Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through feedback and performance metrics, making adjustments as necessary.
Skills
Strong public speaking abilities to engage participants during training sessions.
Expertise in conflict management to handle challenging situations effectively.
Knowledge of instructional design principles to create effective learning experiences.
Proven ability in training delivery, ensuring clarity and engagement in presentations.
Strong content development skills to create relevant and impactful training materials.
