The ideal candidate should be able to develop digital communication and signal processing algorithms and implement these algorithms into programmable hardware logic. The candidates should also be able to develop architectures and requirements to integrate systems and components into higher level systems and platforms. Defines and conducts tests to validate performance of designs to requirements. Writes appropriate sections of proposals to support development of new business.Position Responsibilities:- Proficient in modern FPGA design processes (design, implementation, simulation, timing closure and validation)
- Proficient in RTL development (VHDL & Verilog)
- Proficient in modern design and verification tools including Xilinx Vivado, SDK, HLS, Matlab/Simulink HDL Coder, Questasim
- Experience with MPSoC HW/SW co-design and low-level SW development. Experience with Xilinx RFSoC is a plus
- Experience with firmware design verification. Experience with UVM preferred
- Proficient in HW bench testing using standard lab test equipment such as oscilloscope, spectrum analyzer, etc.
- Knowledgeable in core digital communications and signal processing theory
- Knowledge of basic sampling theory, complex baseband representation, poly-phase filter design, error correction codes, synchronization, equalization, and modulation
- Proficient in modeling and simulation tools (Matlab / Simulink along with relevant toolboxes)
- Design experience with Ethernet and serial interfaces
- Proficient in configuration management (git)
- Familiarity with Linux
- Bachelor's, Master's or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry
- Experience with FPGA design processes (design, implementation, simulation, timing closure and validation)
- Experience in core digital communications and signal processing theory
- Design experience with Ethernet and serial interfaces
- Proficient in configuration management (git)
