Amaris Family Services –Renton WA

Amaris Family Services is a Supervised Visitation Agency serving the Greater Washington State. We are expanding in Yakima county and currently looking for qualified candidates to join our team. The Family Time Visitation Specialist will:

Assist in supervision of Agency visits between birth parent and Foster child (State dependents).

Co-ordinate, arrange and maintain visits with the parties involved.

Provide Childcare and transportation to and from visits as per Agency regulations.

Maintain notes regarding interactions between Children and their parents. Ability to intervene as necessary during visits.

Work a flexible schedule, which includes evenings, weekends schedule.

Submit reports to visitation office within 4 work days of visit

Work independently in addition to working as a team member.

Testify as requested at the Juvenile Court

Maintain regular, punctual attendance during regularly scheduled work hours at worksite.

Attend trainings as requested by supervisor

Available work hours: Flexible Monday through Friday 7am-9pm; Ability to work evenings a plus and at least 4 hours on Saturdays or Sundays.

To apply, you must:

Be 21 years of age or older with Business License to work as a Sub-Contractor

Excellent communication and organizational skills

Clean driving records. Have no record of convictions for driving under the Influence within the last 3 years

Good verbal and written communication.

Have no record of convictions for Child abuse, neglect or crimes against a person

Ability to pass a Background Check through DSHS.

Must have a safe and reliable automobile with insurance Coverage. (Upon hire will need to obtain a business auto policy with combined single limits of 1 million).

Ability to maintain the physical demand of the position. Regularly lifting children up to 50 pounds in and out of the vehicle. Maintaining control of active children.

Current Blood borne Pathogens Trainings/ CPR/First Aid

Educational Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in social services or closely related field from an accredited school; and six months of documented experience directly working with children and family. (Paid or volunteer).

Associate degree in Human services or related field with one year of documented experience working directly with Children and Families in a paid or Volunteer settings.

A High School Diploma or GED and Two years of experience directly working with children and families.)
