Find your future with us.The Boeing Company is seeking a Flight Line Operations Manager to join our team in Seattle, WA . Our team leads Flight Line Operations testing activities in support of Boeing Commercial and Military Derivative Airplane programs. This position will work on 1st or 2nd shift based on business needs.Position Responsibilities:
Ensure that air vehicles are completed and pass certification for airworthiness by overseeing final component installation, systems operation functional testing, modification, maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, preflight and postflight checks, release for flight, and preparation for delivery
Interface with flight crews, engineering, management, suppliers, and customers to meet product requirements and ensure customer acceptance
Develop and execute project and process plans, implements policies and procedures and sets operational goals
Acquire resources for projects and processes, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements
Develop and maintain relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports
Provide oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes
Manage, develop and motivate employees
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
3+ years of experience with flight line operations
3+ years of experience leading or managing projects and/or teams
Experience using all the following Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel and Outlook)
Willing to work 1st or 2nd shift on a rotational basis, as needed
Able to travel both domestically and internationally
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)
Bachelor’s degree or higher
5+ years of experience with Flight Line operational experience in the areas of Pre-Flight/Post Flight/Aircraft Release procedures in the support of customer focused flight testing
Experience managing a Collective Bargaining Unit (CBU)/hourly union-represented workforce
Experience leading key process, quality, and continuous improvement initiatives
Current A&P License or the ability to obtain a Repairman’s Certificate (minimum requirements to obtain repairman’s certification are 1800 hours of Airframe and 1800 hours of Powerplant experience)
