A well-established, local children’s fine art program is looking for an art teacher to enrich children’s lives through creativity and hands-on art education.

Position Overview:

This is a part-time teaching position with two start dates:

1) Initial Summer Camp | August 4–7, 2025 (Monday–Thursday), full-day instruction (approximately 7 hours per day)

2) Regular School-Year Classes | Begin the third week of September

Training to occur in late June and/or July

About the Role:

We’re seeking a warm, reliable individual who enjoys working with children and helping them grow as artists. It’s very important to encourage children in their development of skills—building confidence and creativity through the art-making process.

Schedule:

August 4-7, 2025 – 7 hours a day

After School Classes 2-4 days a week for 2-3 hours per day

2–4 Saturday morning classes throughout the school year

Additional hours for lesson planning and monthly supply pickup

1-year contract

Minimum Requirements:

-Bachelor’s degree in Art

-Ability to share recent personal artwork (figurative work preferred)

-Enjoyment of and experience with children; teaching experience preferred, but not required

Reliable transportation

-Must pass a background check

We Provide:

-Full curriculum and teaching supplies

-Video and in-person training

-Compensation:

$23 per hour for teaching

$16.66 per hour (1 hour per week for lesson planning and 1 hour per month for supply pickup)
